I was talking to Thomas at the WCBF this weekend and we want to make a big meet down at Firebird sometime in November and try and get some of us out of towners down there as well for a big race day. Any thoughts on it. Date suggestions. I talked to Boosty too and he wants to get out from way up in the Northeast all the way down too.

Thats, actually a cool idea. I think Duesvolt was gonna plan a trip to AZ too...

given more interest over the week i think we should start trying to schedule - so the out of towners can plan their road trips accordingly :D :D

If I had to choose, Speedworld.

Long 2 lane drive there in the middle of nowhere. Good for camera pics and short burst of vroom vroom!

Depending on the dates, I think I could even talk the wife into a road trip from Oregon down there.

I like Firebird's conveniece (as it's close to me), but for a meet, I'd definitely vote for Speedworld. I haven't been to the track in a while so, money permitting, I'd be interested in going.

I see all you guys talking him into Speedworld, I told him how much I like Firebird, because I run 1.7 60' times at Firebird. I also run slicks.

I never really cared for SW but I'm open minded... I'm ok with SW but I hope they give us good track prep. if not, Eric's getting an ass kicking because he was the first one to step upand make the suggestion.

Lets org a gathering for November... SW is fine.

BBQ food on the lot, Mods etc...

Well lets do it then. I was looking at speedworlds website and they have both friday night and Saturday night racing so we could make it a two day event maybe.

I'm suggesting Nov 13-14, Nov 27-28, or Dec 4-5. Thanksgiving is the 26th though. The 20-21 doesn't reallywork well for me at all. Take a look at your calenders.

This could be the 1st annual AZ Turkey Roast.

They are doing a club day on Dec 5th during the day. Plus they are doing Friday the 4th T&T and night drags as well as Saturday night drags on the 5th.

I just need to know dates so I can shedule the time off and collect funds. Sounds like Dr. Jared needs to start a poll for dates.

Done Matt. I have the same thing. Need to recover from WCBF and start saving for this trip now so a date would be good to know. My vote is for Dec 4-5th.

Im going with December. It should be cooler, and give us ALL more time for any reason we have. To get our cars/parts together, get finacial stuff organized and out of the way, and definately call in on club day for AZGMP.

Everyone, mark your calendar, put some money away, Id like most of us to be there. More footage means better bad ass videos I can make.

if you drive straight thru.. its 22 hours, I know, I just did it. That's stopping for gas & restrooms every three hours.
